SAMCON combines old school comic convention and craft fair to form an inclusive event that offers something for everyone. Organizers Sam Campos, Art Wong and Mark Gould (hence the name "SAMCON") strive to include the community in as many ways as possible.
2018 brought together local artists and comic book creators, cosplayers, small businesses, crafters, food trucks, Dragonfly screenings, the Batmobile tumbler and Ghostbusters car, an Iaido demonstration, and a bouncy house for the keiki on the beautiful grounds of Heʻeia State Park benefiting the park and Kama'aina Kids.
