The Pineapple Man and Friends exhibit goes through April 28th at The ARTS at Marks Garage. Visit Tue-Sat from noon to 5pm. The final meet and greet with the artists will be at the Pau Hana on Friday, April 28th from 5pm to 8pm. Admission, as always, is FREE! Hope to see you there.

Anh Vu shares her creative process in her new ashcan which includes an original sketch. Jon J Murakami's newest Gordon Rider comic is now available in two covers. Comes with a free vinyl sticker of Steve the Monkey. Lorenzo Gomez Trinidad is debuting his first hardcover sketchbook. It's a limited run of 26 with signed and numbered sketch bookplates. Nobu is bringing new Socktopi including Nightmare Before Christmas and Punisher! Robert Jacob will have new original art for sale. Jenn W will be selling prints of her whimsical art. Kevin Sano will be there with prints, stickers and shirts. Maybe even a Funko Pop. Roy Chang will be doing Get Funkofied Portraits and Custom Pepe Commissions. Art Wong is bringing a wide array of stickers, prints and art. Pineapple Man and Friends, an exhibition of Hawaii's diverse comic artists returns to The ARTS at Marks Garage April 7-28. The Gallery hours are Tue-Sat, noon-5pm and admission is free. A portion of the sales goes to support the gallery and its mission to provide a safe and inclusive space for creators to collaborate, experiment and educate.
April 7 - First Friday kicks off the show with an artist reception from 5pm to 8pm. Come out to meet the artists! April 8, 15 and 22 - Saturday Pop Up Events where artists set up tables to sell their latest and greatest works including comic books, stickers, collectibles and artwork. April 28 - Final Friday will close things out with a pau hana gathering from 5pm-8pm. |
Thank you for the continued interest in the Art Lab. After shutting down due to COVID, we got involved in other projects that are keeping us busy, so we will not be open for instruction for the foreseeable future. We hope to see you at future events and will be glad to review portfolios and give advice at that time. |
